Materials

Pecans

  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp salt

Ice Cream

  • 2 cups half-and-half cream
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • Melt butter in skillet, add pecans and salt over low heat until toasted, about 10 minutes.
    4 Tbsp unsalted butter, 1 cup chopped pecans, 1 tsp salt
  • Combine half-and-half, sugar, (cocoa) and vanilla in a blender; process on low until smooth.
    2 cups half-and-half cream, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup baking cocoa, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Stir in heavy cream.
    2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • Use Ice cream machine to mix cream, then add pecans when almost done
